The economics look different too, but not as different as the headline numbers imply. A private charter is €1,200 for 2 hours, €1,800 for a half day of 4 hours and €3,000 for the full 8-hour day — for the whole boat, with skipper, fuel and VAT included. Split across a group of eight or ten, a two-hour sunset party lands close to what a premium ticketed trip charges per person, except you get the entire yacht.
Food and drink on board
The rate already covers the basics: light catering with fruit and nuts, water and soft drinks and a complimentary bottle of champagne — enough for the first toast as you clear the harbour mouth.

The jet ski and what else is on board
A jet ski can be added for €250, and it is the extra that most changes the shape of the afternoon. Anchored off a cove, it turns a swim stop into an hour of everyone taking turns, and it is the single best source of footage from the day.
Included at no extra cost, and often forgotten in the planning: a paddle board, snorkelling gear, the bathing platform at the stern, full safety equipment and a sound system with Bluetooth: connect your own music. The platform is what makes the swim stops work — getting in and out of the water is effortless, which sounds trivial until you have tried it over a ladder.
The route: where a Puerto Banús party actually goes
Leaving the marina, the coast opens in both directions and the skipper picks the plan around the day's wind. Heading east you have the Golden Mile, the Marbella bay and, further along, the clear water off Artola and Cabopino. Heading west, the beaches past Guadalmina are wider and emptier — the better call on an easterly wind day.
A typical two-hour party run is a stretch along the Golden Mile with the music up, one anchored stop for swimming and the jet ski, and the return into Puerto Banús at sunset. Four hours adds a second cove, a proper meal on deck and a lot less clock-watching. The skipper knows which anchorages stay quiet at which hour, which in August is the whole game.
